This site was launched in November 2005 in the wake of the second annual Battle of the Boats Nab Tower Winter Cod Competition
The site is completely independent and run by my self and supported by a group of anglers and skippers as a hobby and a service to the sport of deep sea boat sea fishing.
Reports
The aim of the site is to give up to date information about what fish are being landed and where and this is backed up with pictures and info supplied by you guys. Our Homepage will feature News and provide the very latest info and pictures of recent catches More reports can be found on the ‘Catch Report 1 and Catch Reports 2’ pages which are posted during the summer months
Competitions
I also intend to provide competitions for anglers. Having been involved in regular fishing trips for the last 40years I know that there are competitions around but they tend to be very local or are closed shop events.
Here at Rodbenders all of our events will be run as open competitions the only restriction is that they will all be fished from Charter Boats unless stated otherwise. Check out our competition pages for info on what is happening on the competitive front.
Site Development
The Web site is a new experience to me and a real learning curve so the site which at present is very basic will improve we hope with time.
Your Support
The success of this site is dependant on the support of the thousands of you who go sea fishing on or are the skippers of our U K charter fleet. I hope that this internet site will be able to provide you with an up to date information service and introduce some great new competitive events.
